What is the Gurukulam Program?
The Gurukulam Program at Valmiki Ashram is a full-time, residential K-12 school. Children learn at their own pace, through real-world projects, stories, memory training, and hands-on challenges.
Valmiki Aashram is not affiliated with any board, but we support students in preparing for the NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling).
This allows children to learn flexibly, choose subjects they care about, and still remain eligible for higher education and competitive exams.
We also prepare students for traditional Sanskrit exams like Chittoor Pariksha and Tenali Pariksha, through daily chanting, grammar training, and shastra studies.

Most schools teach 5–6 subjects. At Valmiki Ashram, children explore over 20. The curriculum at Valmiki Ashram blends traditional Indian knowledge with modern subjects and practical life skills.
